CHSH and GCM Parker organised a conference in Prague on "Anti-Trust & Competition Compliance in CEE"
On 3 and 4 December 2018, the "Anti-Trust & Competition Compliance in CEE" conference, sponsored by CHSH Cerha Hempel Spiegelfeld Hlawati, was held in Prague.
The conference was held for the fourth year in a row and this year the focus was on competition law compliance systems, digitalization – big data and competition, dawn raids and recent competition law developments with an emphasis on the CEE region. Ondrej Dostal (Compliance Officer, ČEZ, a.s.) chaired the conference.
CHSH partner Anna Wolf-Posch gave a presentation on "Big Data and Competition". Bernhard Kofler-Senoner, Head of the CHSH Antitrust Practice Group, chaired the panel discussion on "Merger Control in the EU". Afterwards, Márton Kocsis, attorney at CHSH Hungary, discussed "Employee Training and Internal Procedures for Dawn Raid Preparations".
Other key speakers at this year's conference included, among others, András Tóth, the Vice-President of the Hungarian Competition Authority.
Numerous delegates, including representatives from the business community, officials from national competition authorities, economic consultants and lawyers from CHSH's offices in Austria, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Belarus and the Czech Republic, made the conference a real success. On 3 December, CHSH hosted a networking dinner that was well-attended by delegates.
