The new offices of CHSH Kališ & Partners are situated in the heart of Prague in the Granovsky palace which is part of the Ungelt complex. This complex has been the centre of international business in Prague since the 11th century.

Lawyers of CHSH Kališ & Partners provided legal advice during the largest reorganization held in the Czech Republic. The metallurgical and engineering enterprise PILSEN STEEL, engaged in production of forgings and castings, has been in insolvency proceedings since June 2012.Reorganizational plan was approved by vast majority of creditors that are in possession of more than 86 % of all submitted claims and became effective on 27th March 2014.The effective reorganizational plan enables the company to settle debts of the creditors that have been submitted in the insolvency proceedings and to conclude the whole proceedings. Simultaneously, the company is returning to standard mode of operation, when it is not limited by the insolvency administrator and the creditors’ committee. The reorganization is a big relief for almost 900 employees of the company, business partners, customers and the whole Pilsner region.“Due to the size of the insolvency case of PILSEN STEEL, which was attended by more than 350 creditors and the amount of submitted claims exceeded five billion Czech crowns, this is one of the biggest effective reorganizations in the Czech Republic. It is a big success of the management of the company and the restructuring team led by lawyers from CHSH Kališ & Partners and economic experts from PriceWaterhouseCoopers“, said Mr. Vazhenin, a director of PILSEN STEEL.The legal team was led by Petr Kališ; members of the team were Martin Kartner and Karolína Nováková.

CHSH Kališ & Partners led seminar on criminal liability of legal entities
CHSH Kališ & Partners led a seminar organized by the Association of small and medium-sized enterprises and crafts of the Czech Republic on criminal liability of legal entities. Petr Kališ and Nikol Španvirtová spoke at the seminar about issues concerning the liability of legal entities and its assessment, with emphasis on introduction of means for maximum elimination of such liability risk to bodies responsible for running a company. Appropriate preventive measures, by which a legal entity can significantly reduce its criminal liability, were presented.
CHSH Kališ & Partners participates as legal adviser in project of modification of the Trade Licensing Act
CHSH Kališ & Partners is participating in a project of the Association of small and medium-sized enterprises and crafts of the Czech Republic in cooperation with Komerční banka, which is supposed to map the perception of crafts by the Czech population, by evaluation of quality, accessibility, price-performance ratio and finally the attractiveness of apprenticeships. In this project CHSH Kališ & Partners is focused on possible legislative changes to the Trade Licensing Act.“The Trade Licensing Act does not need to change as a whole. But it is necessary to commence with enforcement of partial changes that will contribute to improve the current situation in the market suffering from lack of quality craftsmen.
